Our first dance didn’t feel right as something we did for you. It felt right as something we do with you. Everything about this weekend is built around the idea that love doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s held, shaped, and strengthened by the people around it.
You are that for us.
So instead of a traditional first dance, we’re creating something a little different… something communal and a lot of fun!
The dance will begin with us, then expands to our Circle of Honor, and then to the entire Circle (which is all of you!).
This isn’t about perfection. It’s simply an incredible moment we get to create and share all together. Below, you’ll find a link dedicated to you, which includes the First Dance music track and your tutorial, created by world-renowned dancer and choreographer, Kim Gingras. Have so much fun with this!!

If you’re part of The Circle
We’ll personally reach out to assign you your number. You’ll be dancing in pairs, so one of you will learn “Person 1” and the other “Person 2”.
If there’s a section of music that doesn’t have a tutorial for you…
That just means you get to be present for those moments. Watch, sway, enjoy, take it all in!
We’ll have a fun, low-pressure rehearsal during cocktail hour on the Day of the Union so everyone feels relaxed, confident, and ready!

This entire experience was brought to life by Melissa’s childhood best friend, Kim Gingras.
She is one of the best in the world at what she does. Truly.
She has danced on global stages with artists like Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, and Justin Timberlake, and somehow… she graciously said yes to creating this with us!
Kim choreographed the full dance, helped shape the music, and created your tutorials. She will also be with us during the wedding weekend and will host a group dress tutorial during cocktail hour on the day of our union.
